Idolm@ster PV has been streamed, providing us with some Kugyuu drugs. I'm looking forward to this anime and I am wondering what it will turn out like. I have no previous experience with Idolm@ster whatsoever, except seeing a few stage videos on Youtube, so I don't even know what to expect. Nevertheless, I believe it will be entertaining, because the game seems to be really popular. We will see quite soon if the anime will live up to its name.

According to the jacket of the eighth volume of Saki manga that has gone on sale, Saki anime will get a second season, so we can look forward to the national mahjong interhigh tournament and more extraordinary performances by unearthly players of mahjong that are simply loved by the tiles and possess mahjong aura that can actually blow you away or make you drown in water ^^' No details have been revealed yet, but I am sure it will take a while before it airs (that means not this year) as the story in manga hasn't made any big progress yet. The national tournament is in the last 16 phase now.

Mikatan has updated her blog with preview photos of Akemi Homura Nendoroid from anime Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magika. Homura comes with 3 face parts: a regular expression (more like an expressionless expression), angry expression, and a timid one. Of course, there are several interchangeable hand parts that allow her to wield other stuff that is included in this release, and that is Homura's handgun, a bazooka, and a bomb. You can also opt to put on her glasses to recreate that shy girl she used to be, and there's also an extra braided hair part available to amplify her older self.
The release is scheduled to November, but you can reserve your Homura as of now for example on Hobby Search, CDJapan or AmiAmi.
Lantis website has been updated with information about an upcoming single of Ika Musume. This time round, there's even a PV included, providing a great dose of Ika drug. Especially those who suffer from deficiency of Ika-enzyme and vitamin D3g350 in blood are recommended to watch this video. The single is going on sale on July 6.

You might be a bit perplexed now after reading the title of this post. What exactly is it that Hatsune Miku has won and Ika Musume has placed third? Some kind of popularity contest? Then why skipping the second place, right? So that's not the case. It was a contest of a completely different nature and if you ponder for a while what Hatsune Miku and Ika Musume have in common, you... won't reach the correct answer if you have never heard that the both of them drive on the sports tracks. That is, itasha boasting prints of these two characters roar on the tracks of Super GT races.
This time round, Hatsune Miku Good Smile BMW won the race and Pacific NAC Ika Musume Ferrari invaded third. There was also an Evangelion car competing in the race, but only placed #10.

Light novel series Seitokai no Ichizon, which was adapted into anime and aired in Fall 2009, has been green-lit to receive an anime sequel. The information has now been officially announced on the official site of Seitokai no Ichizon anime; however, no details have been revealed yet. Although it's probably safe to expect it to be a full-fledged TV series, not just an OVA. Since I enjoyed the first season a lot, I'm really looking forward to seeing more of the funny student council members and their everyday shenanigans.

A female seiyuu popularity ranking was held on a certain website and the total number of votes has rounded up to 51,190. I don't know how many people vote in the various magazine rankings, so I can't tell if this is comparable with it or not. Anyway, the second and third places are filled by mahou shoujos whose friendship seems to exceed the level of normal friend-level relationship, that is, their seiyuu, Tamura Yukari and Mizuki Nana. The first place has been stolen by Angel Pervy Seiyuu whose radar goes off when there's a pair of nice thighs within 10 meters, Hanazawa Kana.

What I really don't get is how Asumi Kana scored that 4th place. She's never left any super impression on me. And then, Chihara Minori. She's had some very good roles, but none of them turned me into Minorin fan. What else to comment? Let's see. Kugyuu 12th?! Blasphemy. I somehow understand that she might be getting on some people's nerves by now and some people might have grown tired of her characters who pretty much always act the same, but that way of acting is exactly what makes her so awesome. Her trademark phrases like "urusai, urusai, urusai" or "betsuni" can never be performed better try as anyone might.
By the way, Hirano Aya ranked 29th with 606 votes if anyone wondered.

The person that lent her voice to numerous great characters: Kamio Misuzu (AIR), Tenjou Utena (Shoujo Kakumei Utena), Athena Glory (ARIA), Kurata Sayuri (Kanon), Sugar (Chiccha na Yukitsukai Sugar), Rosette Christopher (Chrno Crusade), Hinata Fuyuki (Keroro Gunsou), Shoujo (Clannad), etc. Kawakami Tomoko (川上とも子), passed away on June 9, 2011 at the age of 41. Having undergone a surgery in 2008, she had to take a sick leave and only voiced a few characters from sequels to series in which she had performed. RIP Kawakami Tomoko. もう、ゴールしていいよ。。。

According to a Dengeki Bunko Magazine, Shakugan no Shana has been confirmed to get its third season in Fall 2011. The title says 'Shakugan no Shana III Final' which indicates that they will most likely conclude the story this time. However, the original light novels haven't been finished yet, so it's very probable that the creators will come up with their own way of ending the series. The previous season didn't follow the rail of light novels anyway.
