17-year-old Toyosaki Aki

During 2003-04, Toyosaki Aki was on a local TV variety show called Doyoubi wa Naisho!! There's not much information available about it, but I found that the TV show actually had a website where I found a few photos from the show, Aki-chan's profile, and some cute drawings. She was very sweet even then.

On the website, there are also some posts by Aki and the other girl who appeared with her on the show but I haven't read all of them. Neither are they worth translating. What I remember from them is that Aki-chan's class had to run some 3 kilometers in snow during PE class - quite a rare sight in Tokushima, the snow I mean - and Aki-chan, regardless of the cold, had a happy time running. Smiling through all the times, huh? I think I can picture that, somehow. I believe she would laugh even if they tested some torture devices on her *facepalm*. Another thing I can remember is that she had a hard time learning differential and integral equations. She added that she wasn't very good at Maths. Well, doesn't it make her even cuter? ^^'

Seiyuu in danger - this time Inoue Marina

Following the recent incident of somebody spurting some liquid on Tamura Yukari on train, this time Inoue Marina has become a victim of a relentless stalker. She reported about it on Twitter: "A strange person was following me which made me panic a bit. They followed me as far as on my train. I was close to tears. In the end they somehow disappeared."

Seriously, what's wrong with those people?! Stop scaring the shit out of your favorite seiyuu and idols. Do you want them to develop a trauma? If you come across a seiyuu and cannot help but do something, approach them directly instead of stalking them or fapping to them or whatever. That way, you won't freak them out and I'm sure they won't bite or flee (unless you freak them out by something else). Be thankful you can at least see them, good grief.

Happy Birthday Aki-chan!!!

The time has come. Aki-chan has turned 24 today. お誕生日おめでとう、愛生ちゃん。

Aki-chan appeared as a guest on Shibuya Anime Land radio program 2 days ago, where she received a 24-birthday cake. And the shape of the cake was of nothing else but an acoustic guitar. Aki-chan didn't want to eat it at first and says on her blog that she shouted "Giita!!!" while cutting the cake. Here's the recording of the whole show. Btw. On Planet Sphere Radio, Aki-chan received a Halloween-themed birthday cake with a ghost on the top and cream inside.

A birthday picture by a certain pixiv user 小安 from Taiwan.

I tried googling "Toyosaki Aki birthday" on Japanese sites in search of some bloggers who celebrated Aki-chan's birthday and have come across one picture of an Akicake. I wonder... How do they get hold of such cakes? It's hard to believe they make it themselves since you need to have the picture printed on the edible paper. Do they have it made in patisseries? If that's the case, those guys really have got some balls.

If you wonder, I celebrated with a piece of an ordinary stracciatella cake for lunch ^^

Album Houkago Tea Time II sells over 55,000 on day 1

October 27 released compilation album Houkago Tea Time II has sold over 55,000 copies on its first day. Even the best selling K-ON singles so far have never reached over 30,000 copies on the first day. The album consists of 2 discs (Studio Mix, Cassette Mix) and includes 10 new songs. The limited edition, in addition, comes with a replica of the cassette that the K-ONbu members have recorded in episode 23, whose contents are the same as of the Cassette Mix CD.

Interested souls can still get at least the regular edition over on CDJapan. The limited edition has been long sold out, or rather pre-ordered out ^^'

A compiled ranking of anison singles sales has appeared on Japanese message boards, counting the sales in the period from 2009/12/28 to 2010/10/25. The ranking doesn't include artists who are not very affiliated with the anime industry so don't look for example for YUI's single "again" there.

Ore no Imouto ep 04 - Legs, feet, and more...

In this episode, Kyousuke meets Kirino's friends who have come to visit Kirino at home. A strange accident occurs, but fortunately for Kyousuke, one of the girls understands he didn't want anything like that to happen. Later, they go to Summer Comiket together with Saori and Kuroneko and Kirino is very excited about it. However, she tries to conceal it by acting like a tsundere. Leaving the venue with smiles on their faces, holding various doujinshi and other merchandise, Kirino bumps into her fellow model.

That was a short summary of this episode. Now, here comes a short image digest of Kirino. The animators must have a foot fetish as they pay a lot of attention to that part of her body. But the other parts get some screentime too ^^

So much for conquering little sisters. As regards Comiket, they didn't forget to include some itashas on the scene. What made me laugh is the car on the left. It's supposed to be a F/SN itasha, but since the producers don't have the license to use that name, they changed the colors and renamed it to Kate Starry Night - Unlicensed Blade Works. The "unlicensed" part is just priceless.
