Dengeki readers as usual were surveyed about which anime they enjoyed the best the past season and what anime they're anticipating the most in the next, that is Summer season. K-ON!! didn't retain the top position that it claimed as the most anticipated anime of Spring 2010 and was defeated by Angel Beats! in the post-season ranking. It only shows how the audience appreciates the combination of random fun and an actual plot.
The rankings: (numbers in brackets show the ranks in Spring anime anticipation ranking)
1. Angel Beats! (2) - I can go along with this. Angel Beats! was my favorite Spring anime.
2. K-ON!! (1) - The first episodes were excellent but then it got a bit stale. But still, I enjoy it.
3. Working!! (3) - Very funny with good seiyuu cast.
4. Ookiku Furikabutte (6)
5. Durarara!! (-) - Haven't finished it yet.
6. Arakawa Under The Bridge (4)
7. The Tatami Galaxy (18)
8. Ichiban Ushiro no Dai-Maoh (17)
9. Mayoineko Overrun (5) - I have seen 10 eps so far. It's quite a fun watch but that's all there is to it. I hear that each episode has its own director so it doesn't have much of development, nor a plot. And even though I said it's fun, it's far below the level of Hayate no Gotoku, for example.
10. Kaicho wa Meido-sama (20)
Summer 2010 anime expectations:
1. Strike Witches 2 - Going to watch this ^^
2. Ookami-san to Shichinin no Nakama-tachi - I think I will watch it.
3. Sengoku Basara 2
4. Nurarihyon no Mago
5. Amagami SS
6. Digimon Xros Wars
7. Sekirei Pure Engagement
8. Kutoshitsuji II
9. Seitokai Yakuin-domo - I will watch the first episode and see if I will watch this or not.
10. Shiki - I'm looking forward to this very much.
11. Mitsudomoe
12. Legend of the Legendary Heroes
13. Highschool of the Dead - It only ranks at the 13th place. That shows who are the majority of readers of Dengeki
14. Asobi ni Ikuyo! - I've been thinking about giving it a try.
15. Seikimatsu Occult Gakuin
16. Shukufuku no Campanella
